December Frenzy is Here!!

Hi all - welcome to December!

Phew, didn't December come around quick this year? I remember it being last December and feeling sad that my kids were leaving all of their little school friends because we were moving them to a new school in the new year. (turned out to be the best thing we could've done for them - not leaving their friends haha, the new school!). But this December is so much more exciting - new friends, new opportunities in my work, new and exciting things to look forward to.......and along comes December Frenzy!! Stampin' Up! has outdone itself with their December Frenzy Sale for the month of December!! Follow the link to the December Frenzy page and check out the bargains - all at up to 50% off!!

My absolute favourite products from this mini definately include the new Candy Wrapper Die and the Glimmer Paper!! So cool and such possibilities!! Why not ask me for your copy today? Here is a sneak peek of the front cover....

It is a fantatic mini and I can't wait to share it with you! Why not contact me and book your free workshop for the new year before my available dates all fill up! You don't want to miss out!!
Well, folks it was a quick visit today, I promise that I will be back with more before Christmas, but I have a heap of custom orders to fill and heaps to make for the fete at school next week, so for now I will say seeya!! Have a great weekend and I will catch you all soon!!

Tis the Season to be.....Christmas Crafting!!

Hello crafty people! I apologise that it has been 16 days since my last post.....but I have been soooo busy making custom orders that time has gotten away from me yet again! But here I am to share with you a few of the crafty things that I have been working on.
Thanks to the generosity of the Stampin' Up! community, I haven't had to look far for inspiration. Quite a few of the items I will be sharing today were inspired by something I saw or else I have purchased the tutorial from a Stampin' Up! Demo and made it my way :) I will of course give credit where it is due, and point you in the direction of the original so that you can buy your own copy of the tutorial and start your own Christmas craft!
Ok. My daughters' grade 2 teacher has asked me to do a day of craft with the class on the second-last day of school. I took in a bunch of the skinny treat bags decorated for Halloween, and she liked them so much she asked me that day! So I have been wracking my brain for something fairly simple to do.....because my stuff is usually a bit over the top, and probably wouldn't suit 30 8 year olds hehe!!
Photo one is a small selection of cute little items that my daughter insisted we make - the teacher has the final say on Friday as to what we will actually be doing.

Now....the little candywrapper is from the new candy wrapper die that will be out with the new mini next month, there is a little bag from the fancy favour die, the purses are from a tutorial I found on one of my favourite blogs Inking Idaho, the bookmark is made with the two-tags die, so is the little green basket, and the tutorial for the test-tube holders is from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, another blog I absolutely love!!
This next picture is a gorgeous little Santa treat box that I found on youtube by Chic n Scratch- this is one talented lady, let me tell you! I loved it so much that I straight out copied it!

How cute is that!! I also have a few little mini fold-out albums - extremely simple I must say - and bits and pieces yet to be photographed, that I will also take in for consideration. I am not being paid to do this craft day, although she has offered to pay for supplies, but if the kids like the stuff and take it home, perhaps mum/dad/siblings/grandies might like it and decide they just have to make their own!!

I also have a custom order from my hairdresser, for 12 handmade gifties for her little old ladies that come in every week. She had no idea what she wanted, but they had to be Christmassy and less than $10. I must say that I have had a really hard time with this order. Anyone who crafts knows how long things take to make, and how many supplies you go through.....so really this order took some thinking!
But I hope she likes at least some of these little things, and I can go from there and fill her order. Whatever she doesn't like will go into the stash for the little stall at our school Christmas fete next month, so nothing will be wasted :)
This first picture are the candles I worked on today...all handstamped and I even decorated the box ...

Here are some closeups....

Here are a couple of test tube holders filled with homemade bath salts - the one in the clear box is from a free tutorial from Sarah's Ink Spot the other one is using the box #2 die and I added a backing.....

The next picture is of a few little flip albums I have been working on.....

More of the Inking Idaho purses...

And my last share for the day is a 9 nugget holder I made from a free tutorial I found at Sarah's Inkspot...

So, what did you think? Do you think my hairdresser will like at least a couple? I have a few others to show her that I have not uploaded here, but I will be sure to share what she actually chooses with you all.
Thanks for sticking around to the end, and if you would like to know anything more about what you saw here, or the supplies used, just let me know!
Hopefully I will be back soo with more Christmas Craft to share, but until then, make sure to take some time to papercraft!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween to you!!
Yep, it's that time of year again! The time of year when most of you turn off your lights and hide inside your houses hoping the neighbourhood kids will think you are out LOL!! But if you are like me, you LOVE Halloween and all of the gory-looking costumes and decorations that are in the shops right now! The funniest are the lollies in the shapes of body parts and stuff - they look gross and taste even worse!!
We don't celebrate Halloween as such - the kids don't go trick or treating or anything, and although we have friends that host the occassional Halloween party, we haven't had one yet, although, it could be on the cards!! But I do love any excuse to craft little treat holders for the kids to take to school and share with their classmates! This is our first year at our current school, so the teachers haven't been exposed much to my crafting obsession, but that is about to change! The most exciting crafting time is almost upon us, and I always use Halloween as the practice run. So here is a quick pic of just some of the treats the kids took to school today....silly me forgot to take photos before we left for school, so I made up a couple to share with you now.

So what do your think? Don't you just love the Halloween papers? These are new to the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue this year, and I love the fact that we are getting a more expanded range. The little candy wrapper is a new die that will be released with our newest mini, from December 1st! I have my copy of the new mini in my hot little hands and I love it! Why don't you book a free workshop with me, and I will show you how to use the new die, plus a range of other fantastic goodies?? Go on, you know you want to!!

On another note, sorry it has taken me so long to get around to posting again, but I have been busy prepping for the recent Bizzy Mums Open Day I held on October 1st. If you came down and said hi, thanks so much! If you didn't.......um, WHY NOT?? you missed out on a great afternoon full of laughs and fabulous muffins and brownies, baked by yours truly! I even decorated them with these cute little decorated toothpicks stamped with our new stamps! All of the Mums who displayed on the day have said they would love to do it again, so keep an eye out sometime in Jan/Feb for our next one - you really have to come along and say hi!

Then the family and I, with some gorgeous friends, headed off to 'not so' sunny Queensland for two weeks of doing the tourist thing! We did every theme park going, including the Outback Spectacular(truly spectacular) and Draculas on the GoldCoast! Then we headed up to Maroochydore for what was supposed to be three blissful days of laying around the pool and doing nothing - but the weather put paid to that, so we did Australia Zoo and the Sunshine Castle and lots of other interesting stuff......now we need a holiday from our holiday!! Here's my gorgeous kids out the front of Australia Zoo on a day that the rain just didn't stop!

But I am back and raring to get into the Christmas Spirit, seeing as tho it is right around the corner! If you are still reading this, thanks for hanging in there, and check back soon for more of my crafting obsession!
Until next time, make sure that you make time to papercraft!! See you soon!

September is nearly over!!

Hi there peeps!!
Sorry it has been a while since I last visited you, but I have been flat out with workshops with some lovely ladies, and getting organised for my launch, which is this coming Saturday!!

First up, if you were ever interested in signing up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, now is the time! The special price of $169 is finishing tomorrow!! So don't delay, this special price won't be repeated again any time soon! I would love to have you join my team!!

So what will you be doing while hubby watches the AFL Grand Final on Saturday??? Wouldn't you rather be wandering around our Bizzy Mums Open Day, and checking out some local party plan businesses run by mums?? Come and join us at the Kenwick Community Centre, on the corner of Kenwick Road and Brixton Ave in Kenwick, from 2 - 5 pm! Entry is free and there is plenty of parking either at the Community Centre or the adjacent Library. And since I last spoke to you, we have had two more businesses join our little group - you will see the latest in Nutrimetics products from a lovely lady named Megan, and why not have some adult indulgence with Pure Romance? Kylie (yep, great name eh? hehe) would love to show you the less 'risque' products on the day, and the more 'adult' products at a Pure Romance Party! You will also see a range of products from Miche Bags, Tupperware, Lorraine Lee Linen, Intimo, Partylite and of course Stampin' Up!
Door prizes will be drawn throughout the afternoon, and come see me at my table for another doorprize form where you could win fabulous Stampin' Up! product! I will be offering free make and takes, using brand-new items from the new 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue, during the afternoon - come and make a cool card and take it home with you! Catalogues will be available for purchase on the day, but unfortunately we don't have permits to sell the retired stock I mentioned in a previous post.......but we will be sure to organise that for future events!
Bring a friend(s) with you and come and have a cuppa as you relax while flicking through the catalogues of the businesses on display. There will be street signage in case you miss the turnoff - look for the bright pink balloons and the Bizzy Mums signs on the side of the road out the front of the Community Centre! I really hope you come down and say hi, I would love to catch up with you!
Hope to see you on Saturday!
Don't forget, the joining special finishes at the end of September - if you want to join the fun of being a part of Stampin' Up!, don't delay, do it today!!!!

Back with more of the Petal Cone Die

I am busy preparing for my launch on October 1, and have been madly making up samples of all of our new bigshot dies. I found a gorgeous jewellery holder yesterday at one of my favourite home stores, and it will let me hang quite a few samples of the Petal Cone Die - I can't wait to have them all made and on display!
But before that I have my regular Friday Morning Coffee with some of my favourite friends, one of whom I can say was the one who got me into papercrafting many years ago! I sat down and made them a Petal Cone each and filled them with yummy chocolates. I made these ones all the same, but have several others in different colours for the launch - I am just in love with Marina Mist and had to use it! So here they are!

So what do you think - aren't they the cutest?? I think I will be making many more of these, they come together so quickly, and you can emboss them with any of our embossing folders, or leave them plain - I embossed these ones with our Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for a little bit of extra texture. How cute would these look in pink and white for a baby shower, or black and orange for Halloween? And don't forget red and green or red and white for your Christmas table!
If you would like to see how easy these are to make, let me know - if you are local to me, I would love to pop over and show you how!
Anyway, off to make some more samples for the launch....
Have a great day, and remember to take some time to papercraft!

Petal Cone Die and Stamp Club

Have you found some time to go through our new Idea Book and Catalogue yet? If not, you really must, it is choc full of fabulous products, and some great inspiration!!
I wanted to share with you one of my favs from the new catalogue - it's called the Petal Cone Die and I made a few samples for my stamp club ladies - we had our meeting on Friday night and although one of our group couldn't make it due to work commitments, we still had a great night and made some gorgeous stuff! Our first project was this gorgeous red and white cone - I got inspiration for this project from the talented Delys Cram. I think it would be just perfect for your Christmas table, filled with yummy treats :

Our next project was this cute little take-out box, again made with the petal cone die, just trimmed differently, with a belly band, and those gorgeous flowers cut from the blossom party die :

Our last project for the night was this cute little gift card holder, that I decorated with the new Letters to Santa DSP and the new Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. I got the design from the ever-talented Gretchen Barron :

Now who wouldn't like to come along to a stamp club and have a few laughs and learn how to make gorgeous projects just like this?If you love the look of these projects, place an order of $50 or more this month, and I will send you the details on how to make these yourself, for free!

I have a pic of some of the other things I made as samples for my ladies to have a look at :

And last but not least, I always have an interesting little something at each of the stamp club ladies seats, and it is usually filled with something yummy! This time around I made these little candy wrappers, aren't they cute??

I hope I have shown you just why stamp club is such a great way to spend a couple of hours once a month.......good friends, great projects, and a catchup is always good for you! I love to share what I do, and I would love to share it with you!
Until next time, remember to make some time to papercraft!!
Cheers!

Workshop Make and Take

I had a workshop on Friday night with a really lovely group of ladies, who so warmly welcomed me into their group! I am super exited that they have decided to start their own stamp club with me - I can't wait to get it up and running! They are going to wait until the new Idea Book and Catalogue is available to order from....yes they saw the new catlalogue and loved it! You too can have your very own copy RIGHT NOW if you like!! Just contact me and I will get one to asap! I would love to add a sneak peak of the catty here, but I would get into BIG trouble if I did, so to see it now, before it goes live on September 1st, you have to contact me!
I wanted to share with you the make and take that the ladies at Anna's workshop made on Friday night. Now, we had two brand-new stampers there, and three experienced stampers, and they all really liked the card, which I must admit I took inspiration from a really gorgeous one by Gardenia Pepworth!

The hostess sadly didn't get a chance to make the card for herself as she was busy running around making this amazing dip in her Thermomix (have you seen this machine??? Amazing!!), so I made her card for her :)

I liked this group of ladies so much that I stayed around after for a chat! That is what is so great about my job.....not only do I get to work for a fabulous company, get to set my own hours and work schedule, and do my own projects for whatever suits me, but I also get to meet lovely people that become my friends! How lucky am I? You can be this lucky too, you know! Have a chat with me today about your chance to be as happy in your Stampin' Up! job as I am!!
Well, that's it for me today, off to make some more little gift ideas for my special order!
Have a great week!

2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue

As we all know, the current Idea Book and Catalogue from Stampin' Up! is nearly at retirement age, which is very sad. It is even sadder that some of our very favourite items are retiring, never to be seen again :( I have just checked the retirement list and quite a few things are selling out, and selling out fast! So if there is anything that you really wanted, now is the time to do something about it! Click on the retiring button and it will take you to the updated list, if what you want is still available, let me know asap and I will get your order placed straight away!

On the other hand, the new Idea Book and Catalogue is only 15 days away! I have my very own copy in my hands and I can tell you it is FABULOUS! It is a glorious 169 pages of ideas, inspiration and wonderful new and favourite products! I can't wait to start sharing it with you! Book your 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue parties now, ready for when the catalogue goes live in September!

I am also planning a gold-coin-donation (which will pay for the hall and refreshments) 'make and take day' to explore the new products - more on that as the plans become finalised......I will just say, keep Saturday afternoon, 1st October free!!

Remember, the retiring list sells out of products quickly - don't wait until the last minute, as it may be too late to get your 'must-haves' before they are gone forever!

Well, better get on with prepping for my workshops booked this week, talk to you soon!

Friday 12 August 2011

Hi again, stampers!

Yep, it's me again!
I have been busy lately with a special order that my hairdresser requested a couple of weeks ago. I have  a small basket of goodies for sale at the salon, and she saw a few of my things and wanted me to make up a selection for her to choose from to give to her elderly clients at Christmastime. Only problem is, she didn't know what she wanted, or how it was to be decorated, just a $amount she could spend and that was it lol! So I am wracking my brain trying to think of interesting items that don't have to contain chocolate or lollies (my obsession is pretty packaging for treats, I really need new designs lol!) as some of her clients can't have sweets, and the assorted bath salts that I make, some clients aren't agile enough for the bath, so.........and I so wanted to use the bath salts as I have just made some chocolate bath salts and peppermint bath salts - yummmm!
So here are just a few of my ideas so far. I want to fill a basket before I go down there again, so will be spending this weekend doing as much as I can - but my kids have a 4 day weekend from school this weekend for teacher development days, so I might not get as much done as I hope.Never mind, it's lovely to have them home :)
Here are a couple of pics of a few of what I have so far.......
I get these little tubes in from one of my favourite stores in the US, and they can be filled with lollies, or chocolates, or bath salts, or all sorts of things.

These little packages contain Dettol hand santizer, so cute!

This handmade folder contains handmade Christmas cards, envelopes, a decorated pen, and room for some stamps, a really cute stationery box of sorts.

And this last one for today holds some tall square tubes that are filled with assorted chocolate kisses in one tube, and hot chocolate powder and marshmallows in the other. Probably not the best for the hot weather of Christmastime, but the tubes could be filled with all sorts of things, tailored to the client if they like.
So what do you think? I have lots more to share, but will do that in a later post...stay tuned!

Stamp Club

Hi there stampers!
I wanted to show you the latest items we made at stamp club last week - have you heard of a stamp club? It is where you get to stamp without the kids and any interruptions, while learning new techniques, using the latest Stampin' Up! products and all the hard work is done for you by me!! I source or design the projects you would like to learn about or make, I supply everything you need for your projects and I cut up all of your kits ready to go! All you have to do is be there - oh, and commit to spending a certain amount each month on anything you want from the catalogue(s).....it's that easy! Just contact me if you would like to know more!
Anyhoo....here are the projects my ladies made this month...they requested Father's Day projects, so that is what we made :
First up is the Father's Day card that maybe the kids would like to give Dad. This card is called a pop-out card, and it really is very simple to make.
This next card is just as simple to make, it's just a different style - I really like this one
And lastly, we made this box.....it is called an All-in-one-box, and when you lift the lid straight up, it is still attached to the box, you fill it with whatever you like, then push the lid back down and it seals itself...it is super cute and super simple!

So what do you think? The ladies all loved their projects and were really surprised at just how easy they were to complete! Afterwards we all have a coffee (or something stronger *wink*) and a few nibblies and recharge our batteries away from our usual life with a bit of gossip and a catchup. I love my stamp club, and I am looking for new members for the new stamp clubs I am starting. I have several types of stamp clubs available - Technique Club (where you learn specific techniques, and go away each meeting with a new technique card to add your your book), a BigShot Club ( where we concentrate on how to use the bigshot with assorted dies and embossing folders, again you go away with a card to add to your book), and a regular stamp club ( where you try an assortment of techniques and do different projects each meeting). Each meeting is around 2 hours, you go away with heaps of new ideas and full of inspiration! Does this sound like it interests you? Stamp clubs can start a new round any time, and if you have a few friends and want to start your own with me, just yell, and we can tailor your club to you!
Until next time, take care and remember to make time to papercraft!

Christmas is Coming!!

Hello all.....yes, two posts in one day! I have to make up for not posting for a week!
I wanted to mention that I am going to be running Christmas Card Stamp a Stacks in August, so now is the time to register your interest!
We will be making 12 cards - 4 each of 3 designs - and stamping envelopes to match. It will be held in a hall in Kenwick, and I will have two days to choose from.......a weekday while the kiddies are at school, and a Saturday afternoon. If anyone is interested in hosting one at their house with their friends and family, I can do that to! I am also interested in running one in the evening, possibly a Friday night, let me know your preferences! Payment will need to be upfront so that will secure your seat. And if you wanted to attend more than one, rest assured that each SAS will have different designs if that is organised up front :)
Contact me with your interests and I will organise your kit! Christmas is sneaking up on us quicker than ever, don't be caught out using those boring commercial boxed cards....they do the job, but are so impersonal - impress your family and friends with your handmade creations! It is fun and simple!! Call or email me today!

Mums In Biz Expo Update

Good morning beautiful people!!
Sorry it has taken so long to update you on the Expo I was recently a part of...but it was the kids first week back at school, and it just flew by! My kids have an activity on after school every day - be it dancing classes, swimming lessons or soccer/basketball training - so the days do tend to pass by quickly, sometimes you have to consciously make the decision to stop and take a breath!
But anyway, enough about that! I have some photos of my little spot at the Expo, would you like to see? Of course you would! Well, here we are.....I didn't have a lot of time to set up, so I wasn't able to get my banner up or the tables set up exactly the way I would've liked, but I will plan better for the next one, and hopefully be able to get in the hall a little earlier and spend some time setting up without rushing. I have a couple of my display table and one of my make & take area...

And of course, one of the car packed and ready to go!!
It was an interesting day, and I learnt a lot, particularly from some of the other ladies who displayed. So if you came along and stopped by to say hi, it was great to see you! I will keep you all updated about our next expo, and any other display days I might be involved in, and I hope you will be able to come along, it is great fun!
On another note.....it is only 2 days until the retired list comes out for the current catalogue...wow the year has passed by so quickly! I am looking forward to seeing the list......but that also means that it is nearly the end of July...and with it, the end of the Ice Cream Palour Button and Ribbon Promotion! With every order placed of $100 or more, before postage, you were able to get that gorgeous bundle! And now it is nearly over......SO if you were wanting that free gift, contact me today with your order, before it is too late!! Don't forget the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue is coming to an end tomorrow as well....any orders will need to be placed with me no later than 6pm Sunday 31st.....some of the items in the mini won't make it to the new Idea Book and Catalogue, so if there is something in there that you want, now is the time to get it, or it may be gone forever!

Mums in Biz Expo Make and Takes....

Hi there,
I'm just popping in with a pic of what you could be making if you visit me at the Mums in Biz Expo on Saturday! And don't forget, these make and takes are FREE! You will get your hands on some exclusive-to-Stampin' Up! dies, gorgeous colour-coordinated cardstocks and designer series papers, not to mention the stamps!! What more of an incentive do you need?
Don't forget, there will also be taste-testing with a Thermomix Rep, handy hints from our Home Organiser as well as wonderful organic produce and information we all will benefit from! I look forward to seeeing you there! If you know that you are going to come along, let me know as it would make it much easier for catering if we know you are going to be there!

If you like the look of any of these products, but can't make the Expo, give me a call or email me and I can plan a workshop around them in the comfort of your own home! And again it's FREE! Just grab a couple of friends and you're set!
The Mums in Biz Expo flyer is in a post below, or on the side bar - check it out for more information....hope to see you there!

Something to share

Hi there!
I just wanted to pop in and remind you all that I will be at the Mums in Biz Expo at the hall at Crestwood Estate in Thornlie WA on Saturday....come and say hello!! I am making up the FREE make & take kits right now, and I think you will enjoy them! You get to play with some Stampin' Up! product AND you get to take home what you make!!
I have been CASEing a couple of cards I found on the internet because they were so gorgeous, and I wanted to share them with you. The first one was originally created by the lovely Rita Wright, and here is my recreation :

This next one I am not sure who's the original creator, but here is my recreation:

Did you notice that the stars seemed to be inside the paper? This is called inlaid embossing and it is one of my favourite new techniques!
Still with the Extreme Guitar stamp set, this is one I recreated for a birthday party my son recently attended - how cool is this one!

Well, that's me for today. If you would like to know how any of the above cards were made, or the products they were made with, give me a call and I would be happy to help you out!
Have a great night, and try to make some time to stamp!
