I decided, in a moment of absolute madness, to make each of the children in my son's year a christmas ornament. I had a stamp made with the name of the school and 'class of 2012' to stamp on the back of the ornament as a little reminder of their graduating year from primary school. These gorgeous year 6s are off to the big adventure of high school next February and this would be the last time I would get to make them anything, so hence the grand idea - and I can tell you it took me a while to get through them all!! I made 63 of the small ornament - the boys got cherry cobbler/white and the girls got melon mambo/white, each with a handmade matching pizza box -style box, with a 'labels collection framelit' acetate lined peekaboo in the front panel, so that you could see the ornament displayed in the box. It all sounds quick and easy enough in your mind lol!! I also made the three year 6 teachers a large ornament and it's own matching box (d'oh, forgot to take a pic of the box, and it was sooooo cute!!).

They are incredibly sparkly and blingy in real life - so hard to capture that on camera, for me anyway! My brother-in-law (who is a real boy boy and isn't into my craft) thought they were WOW when I showed him, so you can imagine....

Again, it is so hard to capture that sparkle, but I can tell you they were so so pretty!

Everyone really seemed to like them, I even got hugs from the teachers! We have had such a blessed time at this school - they are the most amazing people ever, so it is really nice to give a little something back :)
I am in the process of making little candy wrappers for my daughter's class, so will be back soon with pics of those!
