Merry Christmas!!

Hi crafty peoples!!

I just wanted to get in now and say a huge thankyou to everyone that has subscribed to my blog, to the people that visit me and to the lovely people that leave those wonderful comments (too few and far between tho, send me more love lol!!).

I have had a wonderfully crafty year and my family and I have been blessed with our friends, our work and our kids. I am sad to see 2012 end, as my son is off to high school next year and it is the end of an era of sorts, but I am looking forward to everything 2013 is sure to bring!

I wanted to wish you and yours a wonderful, safe and happy Christmas and New Year. I hope you are as blessed as we are, and I hope to see you all in 2013!!

Stay happy, healthy and crafty!

Christmas ornaments for school...

So for a few weeks now I have been very quiet - the reason is 66 gorgeous little Christmas ornaments made with the Holiday Ornament bundle!!

I decided, in a moment of absolute madness, to make each of the children in my son's year a christmas ornament. I had a stamp made with the name of the school and 'class of 2012' to stamp on the back of the ornament as a little reminder of their graduating year from primary school. These gorgeous year 6s are off to the big adventure of high school next February and this would be the last time I would get to make them anything, so hence the grand idea - and I can tell you it took me a while to get through them all!! I made 63 of the small ornament - the boys got cherry cobbler/white and the girls got melon mambo/white, each with a handmade matching pizza box -style box, with a 'labels collection framelit' acetate lined peekaboo in the front panel, so that you could see the ornament displayed in the box. It all sounds quick and …

Happy Halloween!!

I know we don't really celebrate Halloween here in Australia, but I still think it is cute! I am not into the gross side of Halloween - you know, the zombie/ghoul/death side, I like the funny happy pumpkin, ghost side, complete with LOLLIES (candy)!! Who doesn't love a day where we give lollies away??

I have always made a little something for my kids to take to school to share with their classmates, and this year I decided to make little "brooms" that I was inspired to make from Pinterest. Here is the original picture I saw on there, and I just adapted it to what I had on hand!

Here is how mine turned out. What do you think?

I make enough for the two classes, and spares for any teachers who want one. There are about 80 brooms here.

How cute is the witch?? She comes from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set.

This is some of the colour range from our new Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper.

I filled the skinny treat bags with sour ropes I found in Woolworths - you get abo…

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Aware Month.........

A friend of mine hosts a Breast Cancer Fundraising Day every October. She has all of her friends pay an entry fee, bring a bottle or a plate to share and spare cash for raffles. It is always a great day! Last year I wasn't able to stay for long as hubby was away working and my son had basketball, so to try to do my little bit, I made around 70 little treat holders in pink and white - pillow boxes and candy wrappers - and filled them with chocolates. The ladies really seemed to like them, and although I initially made them for Jayne to give to her guests, the guests insisted on BUYING them to add to her total for the day - I was so happy!! So of course I am making some little treat holders for her fundraiser next weekend.
I know she doesn't subscribe to my blog, so I can share them with you and hopefully not spoil the surprise! The reason that I am doing it now and not after the fundraiser, is I am hoping to add further to her total…

More Holiday Ornaments...

Yep, it's official - I am addicted to making the Holiday Ornaments!!
Here are a couple more I have been working on......

These ornaments are quite large - this one measures 18cm from tip to tip. I have made 8 of this one to adhere to a wreath ring for my door at Christmas. The colours are whisper white, cherry cobbler and silver glimmer paper.

This one is much smaller, measuring 10cm from tip to tip. I have added one of our new vintage faceted buttons for some extra sparkle. I love pink and crumb cake together! I have also added silver glimmer paper and whisper white bakers twine to finish.

This last one is the same size as the pink one, made in exactly the same way. I made little ones as they will look fantastic on a Christmas tree! This is such a versatile stamp set, I love it! I have my fingers crossed that SU brings out some different coloured tulle for other projects - I would love to see white tulle added to our catalogue!
Let me know if you would like more info on these fab…

A Halloween House.....

Friday night at my house was Stamp Club night - and my birthday!! So I took two of my favourite things - stamping and Halloween - and put them together! I had black and orange balloons tied to the fence out the front, light up Halloween pumpkins scattered around the yard, the front door was festooned with fake spiderwebs and spiders, the door was decorated with a handmade black wreath made from a garbage bag and a gorgeous purple spider, there was Halloween lollies from the U.S. in cute little Halloween bowls and my kids dressed up as a friendly witch and the ghost face from the Scream movies to greet them as they was a bit of fun, and they enjoyed it!!

I saw a pic on pinterest about a garbage bag wreath - so easy to do!
Just few samples with some of the Halloween lollies... (forgive the walls - we are prepping to paint )
And our project for the night was this really cute little Halloween House Luminaria. If I'd had time during the week I would've cut out a lot m…

Hi all - not sure why my older blog entries are being emailed out to my newsletter list, but I apologise! I hope nothing further goes out that is not supposed to, but if it does, rest assured that I am trying to find out why.

When I saw the catalogue for the first time I got really excited. There are so many things in this catalogue that I can't wait to use, but one stood out amongst all the others. I had been blog surfing the US demos websites and blogs and came across some cookie stamps - yep, stamps made just for stamping into cookies!! I am not a big sweet eater, but my family is, and they are always asking me to bake them something yummy. My kids particularly love muffins and cookies, so these stamps are just perfect! There are three different sets to choose from and I used the holidays set (125152) when I made mine yesterday. Check them out!

And here they are straight out of my oven:

How cute are they? The cookie stamps come with 2 yummy recipes and my kids can't get enough! How cute would they look packaged up in our ce…

Why not give a Gift Certificate?

Have you wondered what to get the Stamper/Papercrafter in your life? Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what they would like or need, so why not give a certificate? No stress for you, and the recipient can then choose exactly what they would like - who doesn't like a gift certificate/card?

I have gift certificates available right now! Just contact me and payment can be made straight into my bank account. Gift certificates last for 6 months from date of purchase and can be made for any amount. They don't have to be spent all at once, but each order does incur postage fees which will come out of the certificate value. Each gift certificate comes with the current catalogue, and if you like, I can pop it in a handmade certificate holder for that added touch. Any papercrafter would love to have spending dollars for Stampin' Up! - I wish someone would buy me one lol!!

If you would like to see what the certificate looks like, contact me and I will email you a picture. I am una…
