Christmas crackers for the girls....

I am lucky enough to be able to have a coffee morning once a week (if we are all free!!) with some friends I have know for about 11 years. We met at playgroup when my son was nearly 2 and have stayed mates through the years. We are all avid crafters - one of them introduced me to cardmaking years ago, which led me to Stampin' Up!
We are meeting for coffee today, which will be our last one before Christmas, so I thought I would make them some Christmas crackers with the new Envelope Punch Board - it took me a while to make them all, but I think they turned out really well!

I even made the box for them, with an acetate lid to keep them in place - I think they are so cute! They only fit one 'favourites' sized chocolate in them, so they are really small, but the template I found online and followed, has three different sized crackers to make, I just liked these little ones!
Click here to go visit Crafy Hallet and see what she can do with an Envelope Punch Board!

If you like any of the products I have used today, you can get them in my store, which is available 24/7 - shop anytime! Or you can contact me and I will place the order for you!

Season of Style Collection

How cute is this paper? Although I am a non-traditional Christmas colours kind of girl - I really like the Season of Style dsp pack that is offered in the latest  Holiday Catalogue from Stampin' Up!
I held a Chicks and Chocolates class with a new friend - (it's amazing how craft brings people together, I wouldn't have half the friends I have now if it wasn't for becoming a part of Stampin' Up! - I am so blessed!!) and this was the collection I organised for us to make - perfect timing for Christmas and she loves traditional colours!

A couple of these I featured on my blog last post that I made with my Stamp Club ladies, but in different colours.

This is a really cute little bag that takes almost no time to score and fold, ready to fill with yummy treats!

A cute little handbag full of yummy crispy m&m's - template from one of my favourite US demos, Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho. Click on the link for the information to make your own!

A cute little box made with the Deco Label Framelits - perfect size for a couple of chockies!

And last but not least, another Envelope Punch Board Christmas Cracker. I really love these!

If you would like any of the products to make these, you can order them in my store, or contact me and I will place it for you. Your order will be shipped straight to you!

Last Stamp Club for 2013.....

I had my last stamp club on Friday night and it was a lovely night!
I spent all week getting the Christmas tree up and the decorations ready - I made my own this year!
I made Festive Flurry Ornaments in Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay and Silver. I embossed the Silver Metallic Ink with clear embossing powder for that raised look. Finished off with some dimensionals, rhinestones and white bakers twine. I made 20 for the tree, but will probably make a few more to fill in the gaps.

I also made some with the new single stamps. I used the Christmas Star, stamped in Bermuda Bay then rock and rolled into Island Indigo ink, then scored to make it 3D. I then attached two together with stacked dimensionals to make a 3D ornament.

I also made my own wreath again this year. I couldn't stop using the Winter Frost DSP - the colours are so my taste, I found lots of uses for it! I got a foam wreath from Spotlight, cut it in half to make two wreaths, then covered it in strips of the Winter Frost DSP. I found on online that I liked and cased it. I then stamped and cut out some of the Festive Flurry and made them into an ornament and attached it to the wreath. I used the Expressions thinlit die to cut out the Merry and finished it off with one of those gorgeous Frosted Finishes Embellishments. I love it!

I thought it might be nice to have a themed night for Stamp Club, so all of our projects were in the same colours - Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay and Silver - and all used the same dsp - the silvery striped one from the Winter Frost dsp collection.

We made a Christmas cracker with the Envelope Punch Board:

The picture really doesn't do it justice - it is gorgeous and sparkly in real life!

Next we made a cute little box with the deco label framelits:

Next we made an extended Circle Thinlits Card:

Excuse the lighting - still waiting on a light box - hint hint family!!

Here it is with the extended bit - good place to write your greeting!

And last but not least, the candle we decorated with the Festive Flurry stamps and matching framelits:

And here is the group shot:

I just love these colours together, and I have always been an alternative-colour Christmas girl, so it was just perfect for me!

How are you going with your Christmas crafting? Not long until the big day!!

If you like any of the products I have used, you can get them in my store - it's really quick and easy to place an order and you can have it shipped directly to you! If you prefer that I place your order myself, contact me and I would be happy to do that!

World Card Making Day Prize Winner!!

Hi all - just popping in real quick to say hi and to offer up a prize!

Back in October, Stampin' Up! asked us to make some cards on World Cardmaking Day and either email them in or put them on the Pinterest Board, and it was open to everyone, demonstrator or not!
I made a couple of cards on WCMD and emailed them in (I even crafted on my birthday!) and was super excited a couple of days later when one of my cards was featured on the Stampin' Up! Home Page in the U.S.!

A couple of days ago, Ana from Head Office in Australia rang me to let me know that I was one of the winners for WCMD!! I won the Season of Style Washi Tape and a Season of Style Rotary Stamp - so cool!!
As I already have these fabulous products, I have decided to offer them up to the first person that places and pays for an order of $100 or more as a thankyou - so what are you waiting for? Place your order before 6pm Perth time, Saturday 30th November and you could be the winner of these fantastic products!! I will announce the winner on Sunday 1st December - will it be you??

These are the products you could win!

You can place your order directly with me here or place your order online in my store. I will let you know if you are the winner and post your prize out to you as soon as they arrive!

Until next time,
Kylie xxx

Festive Flurry in Pink and Grey...

I am a bit obsessed with the Festive Flurry stamp set and matching framelits - as any of my class attendees can tell you!! I have had several classes now using these fabulous sets and I am a bit sorry it is so close to Christmas - because I will have to move on to other product soon!!

The colours I have used in this set of 5 cards is Smoky Slate, Blushing Bride, Whisper White and silver. This is a very simple set - the most time-consuming part is the cutting out of the stamps with the framelits - gives me something to do when I am sitting in front of the tv!
It also features the new silver ribbon from the current Holiday Catalogue, as well as those gorgeous self-adhesive rhinestones I could not live without! Plus we have added texture with embossing folders - this one is the Stripes from the Holiday Catalogue, but I have also used the Polka Dots and the Pretty Prints on other sets and they look great too!

I am offering this as a quick Stamp-a-stack - my usual stamp-a-stack is for 10 cards, but this is for 5 cards - so super quick! Book me in - either your place (if you're local) or mine! Or purchase the products used in these cards and I will give you the instructions for free!

If you would like to book this class, get in quick - my last bookings will be the first week of December - after that I am on holidays!! I will be able to place orders for you, but classes and workshops I will be having a break from until the kids go back to school in February.....and I will need that time to plan new classes for 2014! Stay tuned to my website for upcoming classes.

This Stamp-a-stack is also available in Coastal Cabana/Smoky Slate/Whisper White/Silver and Midnight Muse/Smoky Slate/Whisper White/Silver.

Can you just imagine this set of cards made in Elegant Eggplant, Marina Mist and Silver? Or what about traditional colours of Christmas - Real Red and Gumball Green? The possibilities are endless! OOH, I think I will be busy leading up to December making these in other colour combos!

Let me know if you would like to get together and Stamp-a-stack of Christmas Cards!!

Until next time,
Kylie xxx

    Breast Cancer Fundraiser Time......

Yep, it's that time of year again, Breast Cancer Aware Month!
Are you aware? Regular checks save lives, so get checked today!
My friend Jayne hosts a Breast Cancer Fundraiser every October and for the last few years I have been making little treats and taking them along to help raise some money. Regular readers of my blog will have seen the treats I made last year - if you missed them, click here to see that post :)
This year I made a whole heap of different things for the ladies to choose from - a couple of my class ladies really liked the works in progress, so I hope Jayne's ladies like them too!!

This is made with Strawberry Slush cardstock and retired DSP. It holds a wrapped tea bag, and I found some pink teabags to match the holder - so cute!

This little holder holds 2 snack sized chocolate bars and is made with retired Pretty in Pink cardstock and retired DSP. The template can be found here - very quick and easy, I changed the measurements to suit my treat.

These gorgeous little cello tubes I saw on Inking Idaho - Becky Roberts is one of my absolute favourite US demos. I just love the roses!!

I used retired cardstock and DSP for this test tube holder, and I found the template here. I found the pink MMs at my local Coles.

Again I used retired Pretty in Pink cardstock and I found the template for this little box here. Inside are two Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

I just love these little holders - I have put a single wrapped Tim Tam in there, but it also fits 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates too.

And here they all are, ready to head off to the fundraiser!!

Are you interested in coming along to a class and learning how to make any of these little treats (in current colours)? Contact me to book a time and date!!

    Until next time,
    Kylie xxx

I just got mine and used it yesterday to make an envelope to match a card I made for my good friend for her birthday - it turned out great!! Festive Flurry 3D card.......

I have been immersed in Christmas cards and crafts since the Holiday Catalogue was available to demonstrators for pre-order, and I'm not sick of it yet!! I have held lots of classes and still have some to offer - some are listed on my website here and all are able to be booked at another date if my listed dates don't work for you!

I held a 3D Christmas Card class yesterday that even included handmade (from cardstock, so nice and sturdy) envelopes made with the Simply Scoring Tool and the Diagonal Scoring Plate. Here is one of the cards we made:

Look at the dimension on the front of the card! We really did need a deep envelope for this one! The dimension on the card is nearly an inch thick! Definitely not a card to give to just anyone!! I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, click here to see the original.

This is just one of the cards in the 3D class - feel free to book in with me, at your place or mine to see the others - they are gorgeous!! We use the Pop n Cuts base with the labels insert on one, heaps of dimension, bling and gorgeous snowflakes! And the other one is an easel-style card with bling, bling, bling!!

I call the class the 3D Christmas Card Collection and we make 3 extreme-dimension cards with lovely deep, handmade envelopes you can stamp to match if you like, all for only $25.00!! Bargain!!

Contact me today to book your spot or to book me to come to you - I would love to show you these in person!

    Until next time,
    Kylie xxx

Ps Don't forget about my Festive Flurry Collections Class on November 7th and 14th - you won't want to miss this class!

    Sunday 13 October 2013

    A Little Bit Of Halloween......

Don't you just love Halloween? I love all of the decorations that have been appearing in the shops the last few years. I love the Halloween creations I see on Pinterest and all of the Halloween papers and stamps that Stampin' Up! has started introducing into the South Pacific market!!
My stamp club ladies know how much I love Halloween, and for Stamp Club on Friday I have set them a challenge to make a 3D Halloween treat holder - they all vote on the one they like the best and the winner gets a handmade prize - this time I made a Christmas box using the Tag A Bag Gift Boxes in the Annual Catalogue - pic to follow.
I usually have a little treat at each of their places at the table, and this time is no exception. I came across these little milk bottles at my local reject shop some time ago and finally found a use for them!

Aren't they cute?? I filled them with traditional American Halloween candy - Candy Corn and Mallow Pumpkins which I purchased online. I get them every year and one of my Stamp Club ladies has a real taste for them! I used retired paper and ribbon as that is what I had on hand, but our current Halloween papers are really cool and would work well on this project!

What are your plans for Halloween?

    Until next time,
    Kylie xxx
