Get more for your money!!

It has been a huge couple of weeks around my place - the last few weeks of school are always manic, then we went down to Busselton and Margaret River for a few days, then back home to prep for a Bigshot Class and a friends' 40th birthday party! So I finally have some downtime today haha!!

I wanted to pop in and remind you about the Hostess Promotion that Stampin' Up! have on at the moment - once your order, party or catalogue party reaches sales of $400, you get an extra $60 on top of the already generous spending dollars, to spend for FREE! That's right! So for a $400 party - not hard to do, my class yesterday saw one lady spend nearly $400 on her own as she indulged in a bigshot and some fabulous accessories! - you would normally get $60 to spend for free. With the promotion, you get an EXTRA $60, that's $120 to spend for free! Check out the Hostess Dollars Chart

or click here to go to the promotions page on the Stampin' Up! website for a better look! I just didn't want to let this fantastic offer pass you by! This offer finishes 3pm WA time, on May 30th, so if you would like to place an order, you can either do it via my store or contact me directly here - either one will get you to me! Don't forget my offer of a $20 gift voucher for the next 5 $50+ orders via my store, or free shipping if you contact me direct!

That fantastic joining offer is still available until 3pm WA time, May 30th as well - click here to check out the promotions page on the website! This is what you will read on the website:

All new stamp clubs

Have you heard about stamp clubs? It's where you get together with a small group of ladies and learn new techniques, play with new product each time and go away with fabulous ideas and completed projects, as well as adding to your crafting stash!

I have a group of ladies that are still a part of my stamp club that began when I very first started with Stampin' Up! back in 2009! They were a lovely bunch of school mums who have become my very good friends, and some of them have also joined SU, so they are also part of my team!!

What are the benefits?

* You’ll receive three Make & Take kits each month.

* You’ll receive the New Catalogue for free, as soon as copies are available (early-mid June).

* You’ll receive the Holiday Mini Catalogue for free, as soon as copies are available.

*  You will get to be the “hostess” one month during the 6 month period which means you’ll get at least $50 of product of your choice for free in that month.

Only 6 places available for this monthly stamp club!  Email me now to reserve your spot!
Each member commits to 6 months spending $50+ excluding postage. If you are unable to commit to the full 6 months, please don't join as it will disadvantage the other members.
Why not have your very own stamp club with you and your mates? I would love to organise this for you! Ask about your options today!
Until next time,

Big Shot Class

I follow a fantastic Australian Demonstrator - Tanya at Stampin T - and she came up with these fab little gift card holders. If you would like to learn how to make these, I am offering these in my upcoming Big Shot Class - check out my Events page on my website for the dates, or book me in with your friends for your very own class!

These are the ones I made recently with my stamp club. I used the new Core'dinations cardstock as I really like the texture, but of course you can use any cardstock and either stamp or emboss it to give it the look you like. I like the idea of the core'dinations as you can sand the cardstock to distress it as much or as little as you like!

These are just one of the fantastic Big Shot projects I am offering in my Big Shot Class - why not book in today??

Until next time,

And yet more Dress Up Framelits

Just can't get enough of these framelits!

I saw this card online and just had to recreate it! The lighting has washed it out, but the white base has been embossed - it is just gorgeous in real life - plus it is misted with shimmer paint too! This was a hit with my stamp club ladies!

I really love this one! Just gorgeous in real life!

Now this has to be my favourite! The light has washed it out, but there is embossing down the side of the white strip! I love it! Click HERE to see the original!

Again, these will feature in my Big Shot or Framelits classes - check out my Events page on my website to book in or if you don't see a date that works for you, let me know and we can tailor a class just for you!

Until next time,

Pinwheel Die

It's that time of year again - end of term! Doesn't it seem like they just went back to school?? Wow, time sure is passing by quickly - before you know it, it will be Christmas again!! Don't laugh, it sneaks up on you!
I will be starting my Christmas classes soon - get organised early this year and save yourself the rushing around and the panic! Keep an eye on my upcoming classes - button on right! - particularly Christmas in July, just around the corner!

But back to the reason I popped in here today - end of term treats! I try to make little treats for my kids' classes as often as possible, and with my son going off to high school this year, I am down to one to create for - such a shame I can't make for his high school, but it would take forever with all of his different classes - anyway, would they even let me?

I got my inspiration for this little treat holder from one of my all time favourite crafty ladies - Angie at Chic n Scratch - she is such an inspiration to me! I made 36 of these little treat holders, they were quick and easy and I loved making the little pinwheel (129411) for the front! I used retired daffodil delight grosgrain ribbon, whisper white cardstock (106549), polka dot parade dsp (126902), retired gold brads and the corner rounder punch (119871).
The sentiment on the front reads "blowing wishes your way" and comes from a new stamp set from the Occasions Mini called "Wishes Your Way" (129156) and it co-ordinates perfectly with the Pinwheel Die (129411) from the same mini!

Here it is closed:

Here it is open to show you the treat inside - Milky Bars were on special this week!

And here they are all bundled together in a bag ready to go in today:

See how simple they are? I am sure my 9 year old daughter could've done them by herself, but I love sitting at my desk watching the world pass by while I make goodies!

If you would like any more information on this little treat holder, or would like to order the product to make them yourself, contact me today, or place your order online in my store!

Until next time,

Have you heard of Triple Time Stamping? There has been lots of samples around lately - here is mine:

I just love this stamp set and this colour just pops! Gorgeous! Here is another sample, but I am not all that happy with it - this is a lesson on 'Less is More' haha!

If you would like to try Triple Time Stamping, book me for a class! Or we can do this at a free Stampin' Party at your home!

Until next time,

More Dress Up Framelits Classes...

Back again with some more photos of recent projects, and these will also be offered in my Big Shot or Framelit classes -

How cute is this card?? And so very simple! I don't remember where I got my inspiration from, possibly Pinterest...... this is one of the newer In Colours - Midnight Muse - isn't it gorgeous?? I have a whole row of rhinestones running down the front of the dress for that added bit of bling!

How stunning is this dress?? Gorgeous! I haven't added a sentiment yet, but it is just the best Wedding Card!! I saw it on Pinterest HERE.

And here is my original inspiration - thanks Sue! - it is just so me, I adore crumb cake, it is my go-to colour and has been since it came out! The dress has been embossed with the polka dot embossing folder - my embossing folder of choice! I love these little flowers and I have found that if I use my quilling tool, I get a much tighter, smaller rose, which suits this dress just perfectly!

Would you like to make any of these? You can! Just go to my Events page to book your class! If you don't see a date that works for you, let me know and we can book your class for another date!

Until next time,

Scrunched Flowers

Have you seen those cute little scrunched flowers on cards and 3D items and wondered how to make them? Well, I am here to show you! Ready?

You will need a strip of cardstock of your colour choice - I used a strip 6cm because that is what I had in my scraps.
You will also need either a scallop circle punch or a plain circle punch, any size. If you like the fluted edges, you should use a scallop circle punch.

You will also need a brad, any kind, and either a punch like mine, or a sharp poky tool - is that even  a word lol??

First, you will need to punch out 5 circles, then mark the centre of one of them. Punch a hole, or poke your sharp poky tool through the grouped punchies so you can insert a brad to hold them together.

Then pop your brad through and secure the legs at the back. Lift up the first layer and scrunch it into the middle. If you like, you can lightly mist the stack with water.

Once you are happy with the first layer, lift the second and scrunch that into the middle as well.

Repeat with the rest of the layers.

Once you have scrunched all the layers, gently start to pull the flower petals apart, as much or as little as you like. If you pull it too far apart, just scrunch it back together and play with it until you are happy with the effect.

How cute is that? And how simple!! You can make these little flowers as large or as small as you like - check out a quick reference chart I made to help a customer decide just which punch was right for her:

You can see the different effects you get depending on the type of circle punch you use.

And here is a sneak peek of a project (another Tanya inspired cutie) from my upcoming Big Shot Class that is using one of these flowers I made from our new Filter Paper - so cute!

If you would like any more info on how to make these little flowers, let me know! If you would like to book into my Big Shot Class to make this little box click HERE to go to my events page on my Website to book in. If the date of the class isn't good for you, let me know and we can tailor a class just for you!

If you would like to order any of the products you have seen on this page, you can contact me and I will place the order for you or order  in my online store - the next 5 orders will receive a $20 voucher towards future purchases or classes - this voucher can only be redeemed through me, it is not redeemable through another demonstrator or through Stampin' Up! itself.

I hope you have been inspired to go and make your own scrunched flowers! You can also make these with dsp or normal paper! Very versatile!

Until next time,
Kylie xxx

Recent Stamp Club and Class Projects....

I thought you might like to see a few photos of some of the projects my stamp club and class ladies have been making recently. We have focussed on the current Seasonal Catalogue - formerly called the mini catalogue - and on the big shot as that is a must-have!
Upcoming classes and workshops may see these in the line-up:

We made this card at a recent Big Shot Class at Linley's house. I saw the original on Pinterest, click HERE  to see it. It uses the new Dress Up Framelits which I am currently obsessed with!

I also made a matching trinket box using the Top Note Die:

Yes - I used the same cardstock (marina mist) but the lighting makes it look completely different! I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Flower Trim from the new Seasonal Catalogue, so went for a more traditional look.

Here is another version of the card, this time I omitted the dress form and added one of our new coathanger embellishments - so cute!! I changed the ribbon and made a marina mist flower.

These cards and box would make a lovely wedding shower/wedding gift or change out the colours and sentiment to suit the occasion!

If you would like to make the projects in this class, check out my events page on my Stampin' Up! website  HERE - or pick a date that suits you best and book me in! If you aren't local to me but would like to do the class, let me know and I can organise a kit for you!

Look for more projects soon!

Just had an announcement from Stampin' Up! about a colour refresh - no, no, not that big colour renovation we had a couple of years ago, this is a smaller refresh of some of our core colours. Here is what Stampin' Up! had to say in an update:

Do you dream in colour? We do!
Announcing our Colour Refresh! We love colour and we know that you do too. Colour is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with colour trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colours, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities! Why now? In 2010 we did a big colour renovation and shared our plans for smaller colour refreshes every three to five years to keep our colours on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalogue will include 10 new colours (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favourites, moving some colours around, and introducing three brand-new colours, so take a look!

Beginning on 4 April 2013, all retiring/discontinued colour products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We encourage you to get your favourites and look forward to the exciting colours coming in the 2013-2014 annual catalogue.
Click to watch a short youtube video that explains the Colour Refresh in more detail:
