Heartwarming Hugs....

Have you started on your Christmas craft yet?
I just started, and here is my first card!
I came across a card layout by Brian King (I love him!) and I loved it. I remade it in different colours and used a different stamp from the same stamp set he used, which was Warm Hugs from the Holiday catalogue.
I used the Plaid Tidings designer series paper and took my colour scheme from the sheet I liked the most - smokey slate, whisper white and basic black, with a pop of colour in the real red coffee cup.
How good is the round sentiment, and we have a circle die that cuts it out perfectly every time, including the centre! How cool is that??
I heat embossed the sentiment for a little bit extra, it makes it all shiny and a little bit special, I think!
Several dimensionals later, and we have a really substantial card!
But what can you see inside the card?
Yep, I made it into a gift card holder!
All I did was score the card base at 3.5cms, then in half. The image panel mat is just 2cms smaller in length and width, and the dsp .5cms smaller again. The circle dies come in the bundle and cut out a gorgeous stitched circle and the round sentiment, which I popped up on our mini dimensionals, they fit perfectly! The coffee cup was cut out with a matching die and popped up as well.
The smokey slate layer was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, my favourite folder in the annual catalogue.

I've included the supplies used below, click on any one of them to go to my online store, where you can see them or place your order. Or you can order direct with me, contact me anytime :)

Kylie :)
