30th Birthday Goodies.....

Hi there!!

I have been flat out the last couple of weeks, trying to squeeze in some crafting time while working around the family. My friendly local hairdresser asked me to make her something for goodie - giveaways for her 30th birthday, which is on Saturday! She didn't really have much of an idea of exactly what she wanted, she just knew that her theme was Hawaiian and could I do something a bit naughty? Well, I had a big think, and I happened to run into a fellow demo who gave me a bit of an idea - cheers Richelle! - so I did some playing around and voila! I came up with a few things that I thought might interest her.
Now - the naughty part threw me a bit, but I once saw a card at one of our Regional Training Days and had filed it away in my head for future projects, so I dusted off my memories (haha) and had a go. I made the idea as a card, then another one as two separate sides, then scored some cardstock for the middle to make it into a goodie bag. What do you think?

And here is the 'rear' view hehe :

Aren't they cute?? I started with a template that I found here and fiddled around with it until it worked for my idea. Each and every one of these little bums/boobs were handcut from Pink Pirouette cardstock, then the bikini was handcut from Early Esspresso (to look like a coconut), then the frill was hand punched with the scallop border punch, then snipped to allow it to curve, then the flowers were hand punched, rhinestone brads inserted and all glued together. Phew! You have no idea how long these took to make! I had NO IDEA how long they would take to make!! And she needed 20 of them!!

Next I made 20 of these 12 x 12 cardstock baskets which you have probably seen all around the internet - a few score lines and there you have it! Except, haha, all of the designer series paper you have to add, the ribbon, the handles and of course I stamped sentiment panels for the front, which I haven't adhered yet as I am not sure the birthday girl wants them or not, but they are stamped, with ready to go adhesive - she just needs to peel and stick! :

Now I know these baskets are not in the Hawaiian theme - but when I took a box of samples down to her to show her a few ideas, she fell in love with it, colours and all!! So although there are a few different designs in the Flirtatious Specialty Pack, all of the pages I used from it are pinks and yellows - which is why the bikini bags above are in pinks and yellows - I just carried on the theme! And did you know you can also make these baskets in smaller sizes? I hope to make the kids' class easter goodies from 6 x 6 - they are soooo cute!!

Next she needed 40 thankyou cards - so we decided to go with the bikini idea in card form, and as she likes brights, I felt comfortable making a range of bright bikini cards!! Again all handcut - seriously have to charge more for the next batch I make LOL!!

And of course the 'rear' view!!
And what party is compete without chocolate?? She also wanted 40 little M&M tubes, so I stamped the toppers in matching pinks and yellows to finish off.

Ta da! Done! Now I just need to drop them off to her so that she can fill her goodie-giveaway bags with her treats. I hope she likes them, and I hope her lucky guests like them too! Now I am going to rest!! No more custom orders for a while I think....besides, I think I need to restock my stash as I have used so much lately!! Look out credit card!

If you saw anything that you would like to know more about, or exactly what materials I used, just message, call or email me - I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day, and remember to take some time to papercraft!!

Kylie x
