Experience Creativity!

The new Experience Creativity Brochure is here!

Stampin' Up! is always listening to their customers and demonstrators, and they know that sometimes simple is best, so they came up with this really cute little brochure aimed at new or beginner stampers, although you don't have to be new or a beginner to enjoy these new products!

I love every set in this brochure (no surprise there, they are all so great!), and have ordered a few of them for my own use!

This Celebrate with Cake set caught my eye, and I've just made a couple of cards with it - and it is really cute!

The products can be ordered separately or in a handy bundle, and included in the bundle are our Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes.

The first card I made was a straight copy from the brochure, stamped straight onto the note card.

The second card was a slightly 'stepped up' version - I added a Whisper White layer to the note card and stamped onto that.

The third card was a bit more 'stepped up' - I added a coordinating coloured layer, as well as the Whisper White layer, coloured the hearts with Wink of Stella glitter pen, and mounted this onto the note card using dimensionals.

They were all quick and easy to make, it doesn't matter if you are new to stamping or an old hand, I think you will enjoy using products from the new brochure just as much as I did!

Merci Slider Box

How cute is this Merci slider box?

I came across this tutorial on youtube, and even though the demonstrator is speaking Dutch, I was able to work out her measurements and followed her as she put this slider box together - it's not as difficult as I first thought, and I love it!

I used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle to make the flower and stamp the Hello. I also used the Leaf Punch and the flourish die from the Well Written dies to add some texture behind the flower.

To make the slider box, follow the instructions on how to put it together from this youtube video:

To add english subtitles, click on the settings icon, click on 'subtitles off arrow', then 'Dutch autogenerated'. It will go back to the settings box, click on 'subtitles' again, and under 'subtitles Dutch autogenerated' in the next box, will be 'autotranslate'. Click on that and find 'english', and you should now have english subtitles. Clear as mud? lol.

Anyway, here are the cardstock and scoring measurements to help you along:

Cardstock measures 29cm x 12cm.

Score at 1cm, 2.5cm, 10.5cm, 12cm, 20cm and 28cm. 

Cut yourself 2 pieces of matching cardstock 11.8cm x 7.5cm for the pull-out parts.

Follow the video on how to put it together, it goes together quite easily.

Merci Shadow Box

I love making treat holders - they are my favourite things to make, and when I come across a tutorial I haven't seen before, I am obsessed until I have made it!!

I came across a tutorial for shadow boxes that fit the Merci chocolate sticks, so I sat down and made one right away - luckily I had half of a Window Sheet left to make the wrap, so I was able to finish it off right away - imagine if I had to place an order and then wait for it to arrive lol! I have placed an order for more, but I have that obsession out of my system and can (im)patiently wait until it arrives haha.

How cute are they? I'm going to make a bunch and keep a few in my handbag to hand out to those that look like they might need a bit of a pick-me-up :)
