Only 19 Days Left of the Autumn/Winter Mini!!
Hi there stampers!
I hope you are keeping warm wherever you are - isn't it cold right now?? Brrr!! Hubby and I took the kids down to Busselton for a few days last weekend and we must have chosen the coldest weekend to go! It was freezing! The weatherman had promised rain, rain, rain and although we were hit with a huge storm on the way down, by the time we got to Busselton it had blown away and the sun was out! The next three days were freezing cold but gloriously sunny, then of course it rained all the way home! Love going down there, and if you want to know where we stayed, email me and I will share my favourite place to go!
Well, we are into our last month for the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue - do you have your copy yet? You only have 19 more days to place your order, or the products might be gone forever! Sometimes some of the products carry over into the next catalogue, but we won't know that until after the mini ends, so if there is something you love, you should grab it while you can!
The new Annual Catalogue is due on September 1, so that means next month - August - is retirement month! I have seen some of the new products from the new catalogue (one of the fabulous perks of being a demonstrator!) and I can tell you that very little of the current catalogue will be available in the new catalogue......which is absolutely fantastic for stamping enthusiasts ( I love seeing new stuff!!) but is a bit sad to see some favourite things say goodbye. I will add the retirement list to this blog when it is released, so check back for what is going and what is staying! Now is the perfect time to book your stamping party and get the chance to play with some of the retiring product before it goes - we have a fantastic hostess offer this month! Have you seen it yet? Check the chart below:

It's nearly school holidays!
Hi all!
I have had a busy day today making little treats for my daughter to take into her classroom on Thursday, which is the last day of this term already! Amazing how quickly the year is passing!!
At the end of each term, my kids ask me to make a little something for them to give to their classmates, and this time around, Lacey has asked for the Candy Wrapper in her school colours - Daffodill Delight and Pacific Point! - and they will be filled with lollies of course!! The Candy Wrapper die is exclusive to Stampin' Up! and it is a really versatile die that can be used all through the year, not just as a bon bon at Christmas! It can even be extended with a simple little trick to make it long enough to hold a regular sized chocolate bar, and looks fantastic on the Christmas Table in your favorite colours. If you would love to see the die in action, invite me over for a get-together with a few of your friends or family and I will show you all the uses for this die! You know I am available for Baby Showers, Kitchen Teas, Mother's Groups etc? I never turn down meeting new people!
Anyway, I thought I would share a photo of how the wrappers look all done and ready for filling! One of my other SU demo friends said she felt warmer when she saw the bright colours! How lovely :)

Aren't they cute! Lacey can't wait to take them to school on Thursday filled with lollies - and the as the teacher is new to Year 3, I am sure he will appreciate the suger rush, hehe!!
The next lot of treats I will be doing for her class will be for Halloween, so I am really looking forward to our upcoming Holiday Mini for some really cool Halloween stamps I can use on the treats! If you would like a copy of the Holiday Mini when it is available in September, let me know, and I will get one into the post for you as soon as I am able to!
Alrighty, I am off now, ready to plan my "Retirement List" parties for next month - so if you would like to book a party to see what is going, going, going, let me know asap so you don't miss out on your preferred date! And if you are very lucky, I may even have a sneaky peek sample made from some of the new products in the upcoming 2012/2013 Annual Catalogue that some of us Demonstrators were able to earn for FREE!!
I would love to catch up with you!

Join My Team!!!
Hi there stampers!
Just popping in here today to tell you a bit about the wonderful opportunities that Stampin' Up! offers its demonstrators.
* Oooops!, I have just reread this post and it has turned into a long one! Grab a cuppa and make yourself comfy!*
Every year, SU puts on a Regional Event in each state, this year in Perth it is being held at the Burswood Entertainment Complex. A Regional Event is an amazing day full of stamping, learning new techniques and getting together with other local demonstrators. Most of these lovely ladies spend weeks making "swaps" which is a card, or 3D item etc to swap with other demos, so that we all go home with new ideas and new examples for our customers. If you have been to a craft event where a bunch of ladies are swapping with other ladies, then you might have some idea of the level of excitement. The very first Regional I ever went to was at the Perth Convention Centre, and you could hear the laughter and excited chatter as soon as you walked in the main doors - it was amazing! Demonstrators are usually allowed to take guests, so that they get to see the newest products, techniques and ideas way before anyone else, just like a demonstrator. A lot of these guests join as soon as they get home from this uplifting day, and now with technology being what it is, you can join on the spot, via your phone, computer, ipad etc!! I will be taking a couple of guests with me this year, and if you would like to come with me, just let me know, and I will register your interest! You get to do at least 4 make and takes, local demonstrators will be onstage at times to show you 'wows!' with product you may already own, you get to see and photograph amazing samples, there are big screens so you don't miss a thing, and the provided lunch is always fantastic! There won't be any boring business stuff, as it is a day to just have fun! All levels are welcome, from beginner to the serious papercrafter!
As well as Regional Events, SU puts on a yearly Convention. This year it was held in Canberra, next year it will be held in Brisbane - and I have booked my accommodation already!!. This is an amazing 3 days of stamping fun. You get to go to organised classes, attend the general sessions where you learn all the exciting news about what's new, you can win prizes of never-seen-before product from new catalogues, you get to meet Shelli herself (the co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!), and of course other wonderful demos from all over Australia and New Zealand!! You get treated like royalty and you have an absolute blast! I can't wait!
Part of Convention is reserved for those demonstrators that have their own team of demonstrators. This is called the Managers Meeting and I am making that my goal this year. I would like to go to the Managers Meeting and find out all the juicy details they keep just for this meeting! It is an intimate meeting with Shelli and some of the people from Head Office and all of the ladies that go, absolutely love every minute! I really really want to go!! BUT I need you help to get there! I need three more lovely ladies to join my team now. If you think that you would like to be a part of my team, contact me today! You get an amazing starter kit - click here - completely customisable by you. You pick exactly what you want up to the value of $235 for ONLY $169!! That's an amazing offer in itself! PLUS you will get a business pack worth $80 completely free, and the whole lot ships straight to you for FREE!
PLUS, just for joining my team, and making your first minimums, you will receive a mystery box full of SU product for FREE! Some of it is retired, and some current, but all of it is brand new! You will never be pressured to make more than your minimums, ever! Your business your way always! And if you find that SU is not for you, don't worry, you can leave at any time and not owe a thing! You will be missed, but not pressured in any way to stay!
I really do need your help to go to Managers, but most of all, I want to share the world of Stampin' Up! with you, in the way that works for you the best.
I would love to hear from you, so feel free to contact me to ask any questions (no question is silly!!) or to chat further about this deal or what SU means to me. You don't have to be the most artistic person in the world to enjoy SU product - that is what makes this product so fabulous! You don't have to be the best salesman in the world to sell SU product - it really sells itself!( You can join just for the minimum 20% discount if you like, no pressure to sell!) You do have to enjoy papercraft in general and stamping in particular, and if you have never done it before, I would love to catch up and stamp with you, no stress, no fuss, free of charge and obligation. ..... but don't be surprised if you fall in love with making your own cards and things!
So, I would love to chat with you - call, text or email me today!
until next time...

Tom Cruise and a Doctor's Bag!!
Hi there stampers!
I just spent an interesting morning at my local cinema where I saw "Rock of Ages" starring Tom Cruise - that man blew me away in this role!! He has come across a bit odd in recent years, but anyone who can make a fool out of themselves in such a great way, certainly has a fantastic sense of humour in my book! Don't go thinking this is a 'serious' musical, it is as much a spoof as it could be - and I loved every minute of it! Thank goodness there were only a few people in the cinema with me, because I sang along with all the songs!! (mind you, so did they lol!).
I got home to find hubby had hung out the washing on what has turned out to be a gorgeous day weather-wise, and a parcel for me from Stampin' Up! which turned out to be the Doctor's Bag for my bigshot!! It is much bigger than I imagined and inside it is the most gorgeous shade of pink!! (and if you know me, you know how much I like pink!!) - I can't wait to take this to my next workshop and show it off!!
Here are a couple of pics for you to drool look over - you never know, you may just have to have one of your own!!
Here it is before I got it out of the box.
Here it is opened up and ready to be filled.
How gorgeous is that pink lining??
As you can see, the Doctor's Bag holds the Big Shot perfectly flat with plenty of room for dies or folders or anything you would like to put in there! It also comes with a long handle if you would like to carry it over your shoulder. I could even see this as an overnight bag.....and the best news of all - I got it for half price!! Yep, half price. Want to know how? If you have sales of $600 or more, you get to choose 1 item from the catalogue for half price - any item!! You could choose this bag, or the big shot or one of the dies, or a punch or........anything! That's a huge saving! And it's on top of the $100 in free spending dollars you get as the hostess!
But wait, there's more!! Stampin' Up! are currently running a promotion that gives you an EXTRA $90 to spend on top of the already fabulous hostess spending dollars that are always on offer! If your sales get to $650, you get to spend a massive $190 for FREE from either of our current catalogues - the annual and mini! And it only gets better! The more sales you have, the more you get to spend for free - up to a massive $290!! Click here to see the graph of sales and rewards!

Paying the Love Forward!!
Hey there, peeps!
Just thought I would pop in today to say that I have just been awarded the Leibster Award! I received an email from Angela over at Scrappin' For Sanity to say that she was giving me the Award - and it has made my day! For those that don't know about this, it's to promote up and coming blogs, ones that generally have less than 200 followers.
The rules are simple -
1. Thank your Leibster Blog Award Presenter on your blog (Thanks for making my day, Angela!).
2. Link back to the presenter.
3. Pick 5 of your favourite blogs with less than 200 followers.
4. Notify them by leaving a comment on their blog.
5. Put the blog award on your blog.
Here are my 5 picks -
1. Julia Leece at Julia's Cards
2. Delys Cram at Little Scraps of Paper
3. Yvonne Walker at Yvonne's Creative Corner
4. Vicki Were at Vicki's Stampin' Room
5. Anna Mangnall at The Stampin Corner
I chose some wonderful demonstrators from New Zealand to share the Award with, so I hope you can stop by and say hi - I am sure they would love to hear from you!
Mystery Box up for grabs!!
I also thought I would share how much I would like you to join my team here at Stampin' Up! If you love to craft as much as I do, and you want to be able to experience the wonderful world of Stampin' Up!, I have a fantastic offer! I have 2 mystery boxes, chock full of SU product - some of it is retired and some of it is current, but ALL of it is brand new - and I want to share it with you! If you think that you would like to be a part of my team, and you are commited to making your minimums until at least the end of the year, I would love to present you with this box! BUT only the first 2 new demonstrators to join my team will be able to take advantage of this fantastic offer! (Your box of goodies will be delivered to you once you have placed your first order).
But this is not the only offer to join Stampin' Up!
Our joining special has changed, and now you can join this amazing company for only $169, and you will get to choose $235 worth of fabulous product from our current Annual and Mini catalogues! Last Days to Join the Paper Party!!
Hi there, peeps!
I hope you are enjoying May, wherever you are!
I am feeling a little sad today. Stampin' Up! puts on a fabulous Convention every year and unfortunately I am unable to go. And what a place it is being held! Canberra! I would love to see Canberra, and I am sure I will one day - hopefully another Convention will be held there, and I can take the family, as my hubby is Military obsessed and he would love to see the Museums and Memorials and things.
Every year Convention is held in a different location. In the three years I have been a demonstrator, it has been held in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. I am hoping one day it will be held in Perth so I can easily go, but if not, I am holding out for Brisbane, as I love going to Queensland for family holidays!! Just imagine 3 whole days of stamping, learning all about new techniques, new products, FREE products to win in prize patrol, FREE products in your goodie bags, fantastic Stampin' Up! merchandise to purchase in a special place called Momento Mall that I am hanging out to see!! Meeting up with all of the wonderful Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over Australia and from the Home Office in the U.S. (as strange as that sounds, wanting to meet strangers, this is the type of 'family' we are at Stampin' Up!) and getting to know those friends you have only known online. Fantastic dinners and lunches and awards for the wonderful work demonstrators do throughout the year, and of course meeting Shelli, the owner and co-founder of this fantastic company. I have met the nicest people through being involved with Stampin' Up! - whether it is by meeting fellow demonstrators at our state regionals, or team get-togethers, or as customers from workshops where we share our love of papercraft. I would never have had my immediate group of friends if it were not for a common interest in SU. I would not have the lovely ladies in my team who have become my friends, if it were not for our common interest in SU. I am really blessed to have found a love of papercraft, and with it, a love of Stampin' Up! - which is why I am here in the last day or two of the month to again share the opportunity to be a part of this fantastic company and my exciting little team!!
I hope you are enjoying May, wherever you are!

My very favourite item from the new mini is a wonderful tool called The Simply Scored Tool - it is amazing! You can score with fantastic results in less time than you can with the other score boards on the market - and I have tried them all!! Stampin' Up! is currently running a competition for all of us excited Demonstrators - who can promote and sell the most Simply Scored Tools will be crowned Miss Simply Scored!! Haha, just a bit of fun (smiley face). Seriously though, you have to see this tool in action, it really is amazing - can you tell that I am in love with it???
Grab a cuppa, girls, and sit down and go through this latest addition to our wonderful products, and if you would like to have your very own copy in your hands, let me know, I would be very happy to get one out to you!!
I will be back tomorrow with some samples made with some of the new products, so stay tuned until then!!
Have a great day!!

Sneak Peek at the new Autumn/Winter Mini!!
Hi there stampers!!!
I am sad to see the Summer Mini ending at the end of the month, but I am sooooooo excited to start the new mini!! This mini is absolutely fabulous - some say the best mini in mini history hehe!!! I would love to share a picture of the stunning cover art, but no no no, you will have to wait until April 1st!! (and that aint no April Fool Joke either!!)
Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator not only gives me access to the fantastic discount pricing on all our wonderful products, it also allows me to see the catalogues before anyone else, AND I get to place a pre-order so I can have a play with all my new stuff first!! These are just SOME of the benefits of joining the SU Family - c'mon, join my team, you know you want to!!!! (big smiley face).
I got my preorder last week and man oh man am I in love with one of our new products - it is called the 'Simply Scored' and it is soooo easy to use!! I scored 65 easter baskets for my kids classmates yesterday and did it in MINUTES instead of the half hour-to-hour it might take with a regular trimmer!! No more constantly checking you are at the right measurement as the place markers stay in place every time!! The stylus is metal with two different sized heads for your convenience - really I could go on and on about this remarkable tool - but don't take MY word for it, why not invite me over and try it out for yourself???? I have the other branded score boards that are available everywhere, and I can tell you right now, that the Stampin' Up! scoreboard outshines HANDS DOWN!!!
Here is a little peak at one of the baskets I am sending to school for Easter this year - I am making them in four different colours :

Forgive the dodgy lighting!!
Now, I've made mine very simple as I was making quite a few - and will probably make more for the teachers - and if I was to cut up dsp to mat onto the side panels, it would've taken a lot longer to make each one. The ones I make for the teachers will probably be a bit more decorated. These little baskets went together so quickly, and I made it even quicker by using our Stampin' wheels on the basket and punched out for the little circle on the sides. I used a little bit of champagne shimmer paint with my water pen as a little feature. As a final touch, I will spritz them with some shimmer smooch when they are all done.
I have seen these little baskets around for a while, but my favourite US Stampin' Up! demonstrator has a darling one on her youtube channel. Click HERE to see it!!
So that's it for today - I will be back soon to show you some of the items I made for a recent custom order - I know I know, I said I wasn't going to be doing any for a while, but I just can't say no!! So stay tuned for that post soon!!
Have a great day!!

30th Birthday Goodies.....
Hi there!!
I have been flat out the last couple of weeks, trying to squeeze in some crafting time while working around the family. My friendly local hairdresser asked me to make her something for goodie - giveaways for her 30th birthday, which is on Saturday! She didn't really have much of an idea of exactly what she wanted, she just knew that her theme was Hawaiian and could I do something a bit naughty? Well, I had a big think, and I happened to run into a fellow demo who gave me a bit of an idea - cheers Richelle! - so I did some playing around and voila! I came up with a few things that I thought might interest her.
Now - the naughty part threw me a bit, but I once saw a card at one of our Regional Training Days and had filed it away in my head for future projects, so I dusted off my memories (haha) and had a go. I made the idea as a card, then another one as two separate sides, then scored some cardstock for the middle to make it into a goodie bag. What do you think?
I have been flat out the last couple of weeks, trying to squeeze in some crafting time while working around the family. My friendly local hairdresser asked me to make her something for goodie - giveaways for her 30th birthday, which is on Saturday! She didn't really have much of an idea of exactly what she wanted, she just knew that her theme was Hawaiian and could I do something a bit naughty? I made the idea as a card, then another one as two separate sides, then scored some cardstock for the middle to make it into a goodie bag. What do you think?
And here is the 'rear' view hehe :
Aren't they cute?? I started with a template that I found here and fiddled around with it until it worked for my idea. Each and every one of these little bums/boobs were handcut from Pink Pirouette cardstock, then the bikini was handcut from Early Esspresso (to look like a coconut), then the frill was hand punched with the scallop border punch, then snipped to allow it to curve, then the flowers were hand punched, rhinestone brads inserted and all glued together. Phew! You have no idea how long these took to make! I had NO IDEA how long they would take to make!! And she needed 20 of them!!
Next I made 20 of these 12 x 12 cardstock baskets which you have probably seen all around the internet - a few score lines and there you have it! Except, haha, all of the designer series paper you have to add, the ribbon, the handles and of course I stamped sentiment panels for the front, which I haven't adhered yet as I am not sure the birthday girl wants them or not, but they are stamped, with ready to go adhesive - she just needs to peel and stick! :
Now I know these baskets are not in the Hawaiian theme - but when I took a box of samples down to her to show her a few ideas, she fell in love with it, colours and all!! So although there are a few different designs in the Flirtatious Specialty Pack, all of the pages I used from it are pinks and yellows - which is why the bikini bags above are in pinks and yellows - I just carried on the theme! And did you know you can also make these baskets in smaller sizes? I hope to make the kids' class easter goodies from 6 x 6 - they are soooo cute!!
Next she needed 40 thankyou cards - so we decided to go with the bikini idea in card form, and as she likes brights, I felt comfortable making a range of bright bikini cards!! Again all handcut - seriously have to charge more for the next batch I make LOL!!
And of course the 'rear' view!!
And what party is compete without chocolate?? She also wanted 40 little M&M tubes, so I stamped the toppers in matching pinks and yellows to finish off.
Ta da! Done! Now I just need to drop them off to her so that she can fill her goodie-giveaway bags with her treats. I hope she likes them, and I hope her lucky guests like them too! Now I am going to rest!! No more custom orders for a while I think....besides, I think I need to restock my stash as I have used so much lately!! Look out credit card!
If you saw anything that you would like to know more about, or exactly what materials I used, just message, call or email me - I would love to hear from you!
Have a great day, and remember to take some time to papercraft!!

Little Pink Purses!!
Yep, I'm baaaack!! Two posts in one day - can you tell I have been missing blogging??
I just wanted to share something really quickly with you today. I had an order from one of my very good friends for little thank you gifts for her team. She is a team leader for a lovely group of ladies that sell Miche Bags. If you haven't yet seen a Miche Bag, then you HAVE to find a Rep near you! If you need one south of the river in Perth, let me know, I have a great one hehe!!
Anyway, back to the little thank you gifts. As it so often is, when I get a custom order, the person I am making for only knows they want something pretty. Sometimes they know the colour, but rarely do they know exactly what they want, which can be quite stressful, as what I think is great in my mind, might be completely different to what they were thinking! But as she is such a good friend, and also the one who introduced me to papercraft, I could come right out and say - you have to give me some idea what you want!!! So I showed her a few little things I had and a lightbulb went off! What about little purses made with the top note die??? Well, how perfect? Handbags filled with yummy chocolates for ladies who sell handbags! I had seen this idea on one of my favourite blogs Inking Idaho - click here to go to that post. So here they are:

And here is a closer look:
Aren't they cute??? And really easy to do. I would love to show you how! I made heaps of these for Christmas orders and they sold really well....I had lots of different types of chocolate in them and even put candy canes in some of them. I hope to show my daughters' class how to do them for Mother's Day gifts this year. You could fill them with all sorts of things, and the good news is, our cello bags fit them perfectly!
Well, that's it for today, look out for another post soon!
Have a great day!

Finally!! Welcome to 2012!!
Hi there lovelies.....sorry it has taken sooooo long to pop back on here, but things have been manic!! I will have a couple of posts to share with you to explain my absence, so make yourself comfy and here we go!!
Last time I spoke to you, I had an awful lot on my plate - a day of craft in my (now) 8 year old's classroom, a craft stall at our schools' mini fete and movie night, and quite a few custom orders from my local hairdresser for Christmas goodies. Not to mention my daughter turning 8, with a party at our local Indoor Playcentre, handmade gifts for our favourite teachers and of course Christmas!! Phew! So glad I got through it all!!
Let's start with the craft table at our school mini fete and movie night. It was a great night! Lovely weather and lovely people - the kids were able to wander freely as the school was locked up, and everyone seemed to keep an eye out for all. The P & F did a fantastic job, and the sausage sizzle and raffles went off!
Here are a few pics of my little craft table.

I themed everything I sold around Christmas, and showcased the candy wrapper and pillowbox dies, and of course the M&M tubes sold well - kids need chocolate while watching the movie, right?? Below is a picture of my little muffin, with her face-painting done by the older kids. She had a great night!
Next is a picture of the gifts I made for the kids' teachers:
This was the gift I made for my sons' year 5 teacher - a handstamped and decorated candle, hand-decorated gift bag and inside was colour-coordinated pillowboxes filled with yummy chocolates for her Christmas table. On the back of the candle I printed how much she has meant to us this year, as it was the first year we were at this school and she took such an interest in us as my daughter found it hard to settle in. This teacher really made a difference to our school year. I really hope our daughter has her when she is in year 5!
I went with a similar idea for my daughters' year 2 teacher, just in different colours and with a different message printed on the candle. I took a while to warm up to this teacher as she has a bit of a 'tough love' approach with both the kids and the parents, but I tell you, when I got to know her better, I can't speak highly enough of her! My daughter has come along in leaps and bounds since this teacher came into her life! I absolutely adore this colour - Island Indigo - so this was the first colour I considered using. I think it turned out great! Can you see the silver glimmer paper peeking out from behind the sentiment? I am loving the glimmer paper!! And you know you can colour it to suit your project, don't you? If you don't know how, ask me!!
If you want to know about anything that I have made or the materials that I used to make them, let me know, and I would be happy to show you!
Well, that's enough for today, look out for my next post for the other things that have been keeping me busy in my Stampin' Up! world!!
Until then, make sure you take some time out to papercraft!!
